Snowdonia Charity Challenge

Skyview donated £2000 as well as providing shirts for a trio of Police officers from Solihull who undertook the gruelling Snowdonia Charity Challenge earlier this year to help raise money for REGAIN, the only organisation which supports men and women left severely paralysed as a result of a sporting accident.

The challenge consisted of a 40 mile cycle through the National Park, followed by a walk up Snowdonia's 3560ft summit, and if that wasn't enough, the trio - Stuart Baker, Carole Vickers and Mike Hayward then canoed one mile across lake Llyn Gwynant. The team persevered despite Mike suffering a broken chain to his bike which delayed them for over 1/2 an hour whilst running repairs were made, yet still managed to complete the challenge in an impressive eight hours.

The team managed to raise approximately £2500 in total for the Charity. Stuart commented "We had an excellent day and are really proud of what we've achieved for a good cause. Team Skyview will be looking to improve on our time next year". John Sewell managing Director of Skyview also commented "We were pleased to support such a good cause and can be proud of the achievment team Skyview made in completing the challenge" Ironically, team Skyview were competing on behalf of REGAIN the sporting injuries charity, and Skyview MD John suffered a broken leg shortly after whilst taking part in Motorcross, proving that you should always donate to charity as you never know when you may need assistance!

Skyview starts the new year in new premises!

Skyview moved premises during the christmas period into a new purpose fitted factory in Tyseley. Luckily the new factory was situated within a mile of the old premises which is useful for retaining many of our valued local customers.

With ongoing invesment in manufacturing machinery Skyview are consolidating the current business framework and seeking to continually improve the quality and service offered to customers. This is an ongoing strategy, and along with the launch this year of some exciting new products and profile colours, 2009 looks set to be an interesting year.

Recently Synseal launched white aluminium top caps as an addition to it's foiled aluminium top caps. Skyview saw the opportunity to extend this range after receiving an increasing number of enquiries regarding aluminium roofs. Skyview is now able to offer customers a full aluminium roof. The new range incorporates aluminium finial, cresting, external boss cover, and glazing bar end caps. Demand for full aluminium roofs is steadily increasing in key areas of the UK and is a necessity for installations in warmer climates. Call us for further information on 0121 708 0305
