Skyview donated £2000 as well as providing shirts for a trio of Police officers from Solihull who undertook the gruelling Snowdonia Charity Challenge earlier this year to help raise money for REGAIN, the only organisation which supports men and women left severely paralysed as a result of a sporting accident.
The challenge consisted of a 40 mile cycle through the National Park, followed by a walk up Snowdonia's 3560ft summit, and if that wasn't enough, the trio - Stuart Baker, Carole Vickers and Mike Hayward then canoed one mile across lake Llyn Gwynant. The team persevered despite Mike suffering a broken chain to his bike which delayed them for over 1/2 an hour whilst running repairs were made, yet still managed to complete the challenge in an impressive eight hours.
The team managed to raise approximately £2500 in total for the Charity. Stuart commented "We had an excellent day and are really proud of what we've achieved for a good cause. Team Skyview will be looking to improve on our time next year". John Sewell managing Director of Skyview also commented "We were pleased to support such a good cause and can be proud of the achievment team Skyview made in completing the challenge" Ironically, team Skyview were competing on behalf of REGAIN the sporting injuries charity, and Skyview MD John suffered a broken leg shortly after whilst taking part in Motorcross, proving that you should always donate to charity as you never know when you may need assistance!
